Extended Sales Commissions
11/29/10 at 12:32:50

Has anyone tried the extended sales commission program.  When I try to change the default to the extended it tell me I have sales orders that are released/ready to ship.  But when I run the released sales order report  or try to print released sales orders, there are none.  Could someone please let me know if you are able to change the default  to enable extended commission system under the commission defaults...so I will know if it is a glitch or whether just my system has the problem.

Thank you

You could use UT-K-B on BKARINV and reset BKAR.INV.RTS to N

So are you verifying that its just my system and others are able to change the commission default without a problem?

I can't do that today because its month-end and sales will be invoicing, but when they are done...if I do the global replace, will it be temporary only and be changed to yes te next time a sales order gets released?

Yes, it is only changing the current status.  It will not prevent releasing orders in the future.  However, make sure you have set up all your reps in CS-G before you flip the switch or nobody will get commmissions.  Using the Extended Commissions means that the reps assigned in AR-A or SO-A are going to be ignored and only the ones set up in CS-G will be used.

Lynn, I've been trying to read up on using the extended commissions.  It seems that the set-up is very extensinve.  You said the system will no longer recognize the reps in SO-A.  Does that mean we have to have a separate line in the sales rep link for every sales rep and every customer he sells to for each item class...or can we have the Rep in CS-G and leave the rest blank and have it default to the commission shown at line item level on sales order?
