Replacing User Defined Values in a range of items?
02/15/11 at 09:47:07

Certifying items for RoHS, China RoHS, etc. I have about 100+ entries for Hook-Up wire that ALL have the same data, is there a way to change User Data in a range of INventory Items?

I can use MSQuery to bring up the fields, if I select a range of cells I want to change, use excel to change them can they be pushed into the Evo dB?

Is it dangerous? Is there something in Evo that'll let me do this?

If you use the Pervasive SQL Control Center you can write a SQL update query for the range.

Of course, that does require a bit of knowledge of SQL and should be tested with select queries to see that you're getting the items you are trying to update. Proceed cautiously. With that disclaimer in mind, I use this direct method a several times each year when wholesale chances need to be made and no Evo tool exists to get 'er done.
