NTDBSMGR.EXE hogging up memory
01/04/12 at 09:37:05

We got a warning window that popped up saying that the NTDBSMGR.EXE was using excessive memory.  I rebooted the computer checked the memory usage which was at about 5500K but as soon as I launched DBA it jumped to 220,200K.  Is this normal?

ntdbsmgr.exe 258,408

 Tongue

No everything is working fine albeit a little sluggish at times.  Maybe this is normal for this program to use this much memory.  We just started getting these memory usage windows popping up.  I think they are part of a new program that was added to the computer.

did it start after the evo update?
if not it could be a windows update. something must have changed.

You should consider updating your pervasive, for 5  users around $900 dollares. I would upgrade to v10.

take a look to this posting on Pervasive Forum

V11 is way to much for a windows  xp machine.
You could end up with the same problem.
