Inactivate a Customer

We have a duplicate customer that both has sales history.   How do you mark a customer as "inactive" in EVO / DBA?

I am assuming that both have a different customer id right?

You can "merge" customer ids

Yes, there are two different customer code ID's.   Do I just put "old" as the one I want to merge into "new"?

I really need to learn lots more of what EVO can do!
