I have found the instructions on how to, but need to know if everyone has to be out of the DBA / EVO programs?

But you wont accomplish much until you re-index your table (s)

We have archived our sales orders.  Now we want to pull old report to ensure we can find the data before moving onto archiving other files.   I'm unsuccessful.  It says the SD-Q has to be setup.  I have looked and cannot determine what to setup.  Help file doesn't give specific details.

Where would the data have been stored? and how do we get reports to function to pull old archived data?

You can still run reports on archived data.  The SD-Q refers to saving settings.  It is referring to the Configuration Settings in SD-Q System Manager.

Okay - but - the SA - M or SA - N gives me option to run by "archived" and I can select however it brings back no data.  Tells me that there is no sales criteria.  Our IT person says the archive files would have gone to a "file"  - but I have no idea where to look Smiley

Running the report by a ship date - still no data comes through.

The archived invoices would be in ISARAHIN and ISARAHIL.  Check those files using Maintain Database.

we haven't archived invoices yet.  we are looking for the old sales orders we archived.  I have several that are in 2012 that are missing in our database.   we archived only 00/00/00 through 12/31/2010.

When I go to the maintain database and select those files you indicate, is that what makes them available to run a report?

No, just a way to see what is in them.  But those are the files for invoices, not sales orders.  Old closed sales orders are really not worth much because the quantities on all the lines are all 0.  Unless you say Y to the Include 0 balance lines question you won't get anything and I am not sure what a report of old closed 0 balance lines is really worth.

okay - understand on the reports.  What we're looking for is some 2012 sales orders that have "disappeared" in our data.  We left 2 years of sales orders and can't find some that should have just been closed.   I've asked others if someone hit "delete" - that would be the only way they would have disappeared.    We'll archive our invoices and then run a report to ensure we can pull old data.  thanks.
