standard costing
07/02/12 at 13:38:00

We use standard costs in our finished goods inventory and we are randomly losing the materials standard costs in the BOM cost.  We are left with only the labor costs.  There is no ryhme or reason, and we cannot find the cause or find a cure.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  If so, what was the fix?

When you create Build of material and  Routing,  you have to roll up each  material and Labor. I thought some you roll up labor only. This will helping you?

No help, sorry, everything is rolled properly.  the material costs just drop off.  just this morning i verified the cost of 2 different products and when i looked at inventory after i was finished it had dropped both.  very frustrating.

We have experienced a problem with standard cost disappearing - our problem happened only when rolling up the costs in BM-G: when we were in the BM-G "Roll Up Standard Cost" sometimes the system would get caught up or stuck on an invalid number...and what happened was that standard cost on every instrument after that invalid number would change to zero.  We had to "fix" the invalid number in the INV Master file, and re-run the BM-G roll up, and all the costs were corrected.
