Lock out an order
08/28/12 at 14:07:54

I was asked by an auditor if I could prevent a product from being shipped, by locking that sales order pending the disposition by a customer if I had a non conforming product or some other issue came up to need to prevent someone from shipping a product on order by accident.

Does anyone know how I could do this in EVOERP through the sales order system.

If you put the customer on credit hold, the shipping can not occur but that would lock down all orders for that customer.

Thanks for your reply. I will have to come up with a different method because I would only want to prevent the one item from being shipped in case there was a quality "Hold" on it.

It will be nice if ISTECH adds a Sales Order Status field. Just like the Work Orders.

Open, Approved, On Hold, etc, etc, etc

Not etc of course (LOL)

There is a status box in the line entry screen but I don't know what it does yet. That would be the logical place to put a hold on an item.
