In previous versions we could simply over type a part number in WO-K-B, in the current version we must delete it then replace it which is inefficient.  I've seen no settings to change this.   Is this something that can be toggled as we use many "bookmark" part numbers that are replaced with job specific ones.  The time to delete, keep track of the item line number, re-enter the data, including quantities (since they are purged too) is making this grossly inefficient and introducing errors.

Thanks for starting this topic.  I've used DBA for many years and, until recently, never had to delete the part number before changing it.  I've always just typed the new part number over the old one.  It is a waste of time and also increases the chance of making a mistake if I forget to change the quantity required.  Hopefully someone will have a solution.

Lynn, any thoughts on this?   It is really becoming cumbersome and the mistakes are mounting.  I'm not a programmer, but it seems to me to be a simple fix as you have always had options to allow changes in the past.

The next update (to be released this week) will allow changing the part number provided none have yet been issued.
