BKMENUSU    is locked...

Hi,
Just went in to add an item to a user's menu using TAS-G.  Once I select TAS-G, it gives me the following errors:
"The record in file:  BKMENUSU     is locked by another user. Do you wish to try again? (If you enter N the program willl terminate.)  Y
Yes    No

Then anything I try to do, Y, N, or Exit/close the window, Exit Evo, give me repeated
"Access Violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.  Happens from any workstation.

I don't know which menu file this is.  All users in Evo have some of the menu files open just going into Evo.  So does this mean something is corrupted??

It's not an issue with users having menus opened. That file is only looked at when someone is starting Evo, that's why you have to exit and restart to get any updates you made to the menu. My guess is that Evo is hung somewhere. I would use Pervasive Monitor to see who has it open.

Pervasive Monitor won't help, the menu is CodeBase files, not Pervasive.  If it is truly hung, a server restart may be necessary.

Thanks David and Lynn.  It was a user's workstation who crashed out of Evo.  I got everyone out of Evo
and I was able to get in at that point.  Today, it is fine still.

Good to know for future reference, this has never happened before.

Kind regards,
