DC-C Locks up with mis-read of employee number.

We are using DC-C (with a mounted omnidirectional barcode scanner and touchscreen monitor) as a timeclock.  We've found that if the scanner does not correctly read the employee number, we get a message indicating the number is not valid.  There is an "Ok" button in the middle of the screen, but clicking on it, just returns the "Ok" button.  We can not return to the employee Number data entry field, or even exit out of DC-C.  We're forced to close Evo through the Windows task manager. It seems like clicking on "Ok" should clear and reset the screen.

We've had that problem too!  Did you get an answer to the question?

Not really.  We reprinted the employee ID cards onto something less glossy to help the scanner read more reliably.  We also added a full keyboard to the "Time Clock" PC as a workaround.  Lastly, we added a restart icon/script to the desktop to give employees the ability to recover when it hangs up.  The underlying issue still remains.
