trial balance cash acct fix (Read 943 times)

Juan Full Member I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 105	trial balance cash acct fix 09/25/13 at 13:57:26 Error in posting dec 2012 deposit to dec 2013; trial balance acct reflects deposit correctly but balance sheet 2012 y/e is off by this same number ... when do entry to correct bs the deposit duplicates in cash acct.. Cash acct 1001 is overstated ..how do i correct this w/o effecting balance sheet? thx Juan

Lynn_Pantic Administrator evolution (n) - gradual change to a different form Posts: 5663	Re: trial balance cash acct fix Reply #1 - 09/26/13 at 08:10:12 UT-K-D for the cash account will get the Balance Sheet and Trial balance in agreement. Then you can make whatever adjustment you need to get them correct.

We did what Lynn said, but now we're getting a minus on both the trial balance and the balance sheet. the account should be zero.

We run the UT-K-D, but didn't make any adjustment as you mentioned because the deposit correction took place in the trial balance and adjusted the balance sheet ... did i need to adjust account and if so besides bank/cash acct what other account?
