Notes on Invoices

Hi.  I'm having problems with the SO notes in as much as when I go to print invoices, if I accidentally select it to print notes, I can't get them to NOT print.  I've tried going back into the sales order, re-releasing it, carefully selecting no notes and yet there it is when I print.  It's maddening!  Is anyone else having this problem?  The notes are such a useful tool for us, but printing or not printing has been a major headache.  Sometimes no matter how many times  I choose to print a note, it won't show up, other times I can't get rid of it.   Anyone have tips?

I'm guessing you're using the Classic Notes (not Evo Notes)?
 
I don't have any real help to offer if that's the case, as I don't recall in too much detail how those worked. We always printed notes (and Hid them if we didn't want them to print).
 
If you ARE on Evo Notes, then it sounds like you probably have Quick Print turned on. Selecting whether to print Notes on the Print Selection screen does not affect printing Evo Notes. With Quick Print, you are always going to print whatever Note Types were saved as the user's default settings.
 
If you don't have them, I would strongly encourage you to convert to the Evo Notes system. It will take a bit to figure it out, but it's very powerful once you get it set up the way you want.

Actually we are using EVO notes.  I select the print notes checkbox on the front screen, then choose the notes I want printed when the popup opens to select which notes to print.  I have narrowed this instance down to a note that was associated with a part.  However, unselecting Item notes did not remove the note.  I had to go into the item and change the note type from STD to INT to remove it from the invoice.

Probably the biggest thing you can do would be going to the latest update, as there were several problems with the ENotes system earlier on. AFAIK it's working 100% now - at least it is here, and we use it extensively.
