Key setup error
10/23/13 at 15:07:53

On 21 October 2013, I posted "Not a valid terms code" on the Forum.  I had just updated Classic to 7/26/13 SP1 and was getting this error message.  I reverted to the 04/04/13 update.  The "Not a valid terms code" error disappeared but I now have a "Key Setup Error".  This happens when I am trying to enter a line item in SO-A, and I have to use the Task Manager to exit the system.  I ran DDCHECK in UT-A but there were no errors.

This "Key Setup Error" error has been on the Forum before, but the only solution I saw was a mention of a 'patch 3' on 6/18/07 by Lynn.  Where can I get this patch?

Would appreciate any help in solving this problem.

Thanks
John M

If you are on 4/4/13, you are WAY beyond a patch from 2007.  Some index is out of whack but our recommendation will be to move forward and resolve the Terms issue rather than revert to an older version.

Lynn,

Thanks very much for your response.  I had already resolved this issue, on my desktop computer, by a tedious and long-drawn out process of trial and error.

I had saved most of your upgrades, and starting with a 2008 upgrade, I progressively installed about every second or third upgrade.  The final successful installation was the 04/04/13 upgrade and there are no error messages.  I don't have the courage to try to install 07/26/13 yet!

I have another installation on my laptop computer and tried the same sequence, but I have not been successful, and am getting about 3 different error messages.  I want to try a couple of things and if still unsuccessful will post to the Forum.

Thanks
John M
