DBA Classic icon links don't respond...Win 7
12/18/13 at 13:35:57

We're running DBA classic with ISTS updates, PVSW 11 workgroup.  I'm replacing XP machines with new machines with Windows 7.  On the new machines, the icon links (IN-A to drawing, AR-A to web site, for example) don't work.  There's no response at all when I click.  The remaining XP machine is OK.  Ideas?

What update are you on/  I am on the 12/28/13 update, running DBA Classic on a Window 7 machine.  I attached a linked pdf document to an item number in IN-B.  I then went into IN-A and selected the little camera near top of screen and the IE opened the pdf and displayed.  Are you linking documents or pictures?

I was on older version, about 2011.  Just updated to 12/2013 version; no change.
I'm linking to .dwg files, calling AutoCAD DWG viewer, as I've done for years.

Make sure the path to the AutoCad drawing viewer program is in the environment path of the new computers.

In the menu bar, try changing the View resolution to B-1024x768 or C-1280x1024

Malcolm, how did you find that?  Changing the view does make it work, but makes the window unusably large (and ugly).  Changing back to small breaks it again.  Now we've identified the problem...nothing to do with the path.

I wish I could take the credit but someone told me about it last week - they had a problem with the web site link button and figured it out before I did  Wink

BTW, as long as your desktop resolution is 1024x768 or bigger AND the desktop font size is still set to the default, I'd expect 'B' to look a little bigger but still usable.  Since it's not, I'd check those first.

1900 X 1200, default font.  Yeah, it works, but I'm not going to give up that much screen space for so little info.  Needs to be fixed.
