DBA Classic Print Linked Image with Traveler (Read 7818 times)

We couldn't print link documents. We solve our problem by moving the documents folder to: X:\DBAMFG\LINKDOCS Where X is the driver were your DBA is. Is not a good idea to use long an complicate path names either. Keep it short and simple. Kelloggs

well I used to use classic and I recall we printed our word docs with it

however I just tried it and it wont work

pdf or doc so I would say its broken
since all my stuff prints fine in EVO

I had the 1st linked doc printer, I had it written by Ben many years ago.

I'm sure we used it with classic to print DOC files.

so Id say something is wrong

The linked image I'm attempting to print is Y:\IMGTest\test.pdf Shadowcaster - I agree I think something is wrong too. Hopefully Lynn & Allen can help me fix it!

I would think that with all the little parts you sell that you would want all the pictures of them coming out on work orders, pick slips, sales orders, and po's. Along with manufacturing info to attach to the WO. EVO will do that.

maybe this will help someone who is having link issues

These are the settings I use for my links and thumbs

My DBAMFG directory is a mapped drive letter K

I use a default directory for my word docs k:\prints\ not sure where you set this in classic

I use a separate directory for the thumbs k:\thumbs\

so with thumbs I use the full path for the file name. K:\thumbs\filename.png

Lynn_Pantic Administrator evolution (n) - gradual change to a different form Posts: 5663	Re: DBA Classic Print Linked Image with Traveler Reply #39 - 03/05/14 at 08:33:27 DBA Classic can only print PDFs and it is hard coded to call ACRORD32.EXE so you have to have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed and the path to the reader needs to be in your environment path. I tested yesterday and under those conditions it does still work.
