Work Center Load SH-L
04/29/14 at 05:52:07

I believe I have this partially figured out.

It appears that the WC Load is based on finish date and backward scheduling.

For instance, I have a job scheduled to start today which requires 14.x hours at this WC. However, it's showing up on 5/4 (presumably?) because the Finish Date is 5/5 and there is one more WC with one more process to follow.

Assuming this is true, how do I get the system to use forward scheduling from the specified Start Date?

Also, on WC with less load it sometimes shows several rows with the same number. For instance 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4, etc. Is this indicating 1.0 hours, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 2.5 hours, etc?

Have you looked at SH-R?  It is a much better representation of the load and shows each work order.  I don't think programming has looked at SH-L since it was converted from DOS back in 1997.

It requires Java...

So...?  There is nothing horrible about Java.  You can disable it in your browser to prevent malicious web apps from running it and still use it for trusted programs.  We are looking into a local (within the DBAMFG\EVOERP) copy of JAVA.EXE that our programs can run without you installing the full program or having browsers even know it exists.  Pervasive does it that way and it gives us better version control.

Nope, there IS nothing wrong with Java. Except that Evo can't use it with database security...
