Chat Room
05/13/14 at 07:58:57

On another user group that I participate we have an IRC chat room. In some cases it is very useful.

Anyone like the idea? There are web versions of IRC (Internet Relay Chat) like: http://webchat.freenode.net/
We can create our own chat room.

The problem with "chat rooms" is that the conversations will not be recorded and can not be reference in the future.
But as I said, sometime is better to have a live conversation.

Cool idea, but I'm not sure how many people would participate...

I like chats but I go from nothing to do to overloaded on a weekly basis so usage could be spotty.

can you set up a chat group on yahoo messenger or face book ect.?
I cant believe the net hasn't come up with something better than IRC in the last 20 years.

The idea is to go to a "chat room" only in certain situations.
Like when you need immediate feedback, or when you need to engage with a user that can provide your with a quick solution to your problem.

I don't think there is a need to open a permanent chat room, but it would be nice to have one when need it.
