How to reopen a sales order that was closed

Is there a way to reopen a closed sales order? We need to do this in order to fix deposits that were misapplied.

Open SD-M
Check "Reopen Closed SO-in SO-A? [Y/N/P/V]
By the way, you apply deposits to invoices, not to the sale orders

Thank you for the reply. I'm still learning this system and still feel like an idiot when I can't figure out some basic things.
