They should download directly to the DBAMFG folder (or whatever yours is named) on the server.  There is nothing to install.

OK, I guess it's confusing because you can't tell at all anything has been done.  Repeatedly we've gone in, it says 1 update, we "do the update", it *appears* to maybe have done something because the actual update name disappears from the window after a time, but the version of the program remains the same, no change.  And when we go back into Evo later, it still says that update is there for us to download (the Red U with a #1 on it).

Now, since updating to 2016.1, it no longer calls for that one update (it was FO-G), but it would be very nice to see some sort of download progress, or a confirmation X # of updates were successfully / unsuccessfully downloaded to <path>, and a list of those.  Just a confirmation, and also a way to keep track of what was just updated.

Thanks!

Once the list is generated and you click "Install Updates", it shows a green progress bar and "Installing". Once each update is installed it says "Installed". However, once all are complete it clears the screen. So if there was only one, and it was real small, it may look like nothing happened.

(all the above is according to my memory - details may be slightly different and the procedure may have recently changed)

On some systems its a bit slow when you first load SM-V. I have seen instances where it takes a few minutes for the patches to populate the screen. So give it bit. Once they do then the install patches button should become visible for you to install them.

I guess then, in the case of the FO-G update, it was just funky somehow. Since upgrading to 2016.1, it went away. So It's nice to know I will see that green progress bar when it's working!

Thank you all.

While doing updates today I noticed it's actually not green, and it doesn't "move". But it starts out looking like it's going to be a typical Percent Complete bar. And as each one is done it says Finished.

2016.1 patch program is different from prior versions.
