SA-L

We changed the inventory class of some of our finished goods so that we could use SA-L to see what was sold on a monthly basis.  Unfortunately, SA-L does not seem to work.  Even though we have sold the items in the date period mentioned and the item class is correct, the report it blank.  I know we are on an older version of EVO, but did/does this report work?
Are there some other parameters that the report uses in it's generation that are keeping the data from showing up?
I tried to run the report for all classes and only three showed up on the report.

Did you change the product class after they were invoiced?

Just a guess, but since the product class helps determine the GL account of a transaction, the system may not apply that class change to a previous transaction that happened prior to the class change.

I can run SA-L and it works fine here.

We are running the latest version, and the report works here.
Unfortunately, the window (SA-L) does not have a ISTS Enhancement Date.

Now if the report get is data from the Inventory transaction or GL table that would explain why you don't get any data.
You will have to actually ship an item with it's new CLASS to be shown on the report.

But that is something that only Lynn can answer.

 Huh

We don't have accounting enabled.  It appears that when you start SA-L, it is pulling data from the inventory master files, and the invoice history files.  I don't see the class anywhere in the transaction or inventory files.
What is interesting is that if I run the report with no filters, meaning that it should report everything, it only reports a fraction of what's in the databases.
The BKSAI.RUN file is from 2008, so I would assume that I don't have the newest version.

Our BKSAL.RUN is dated 5/22/14, so it's certainly possible it was broken and you need the new one.

Seems to work fine here, but it does not total Cost or Gross Profit by Class, only Total Sales.

Boss stopped paying for updates years back...  He's a "what's a value in it?" person. Sad We just hired a outside sales person, and the boss came up with a convoluted way of paying commissions, so I was trying to see what reports EVO could generate to help.
