on order in customer files
11/05/15 at 09:28:15

When I am in a customer's "file" in Sales, AR, A, and try to look up what they have on order, the system predictably gives me a hard time. When I click on the SO icon, it gives me the lookup page, with data, but the data disappears after what seems like 1/4 of a second. That is the predictable part. Variations of what happens next then follow. The data may or may not come back. If it does, all is fine, and I move on. Sometimes it gives me an error message and freezes the system, keeping me from exiting in a normal fashion. "An error has occurred while creating file - DRILL\TBKARINV20151105111748.TMP-11"  Part of this appears to be a date code and perhaps an incident number?  If I wait a minute or longer, sometimes I get another error message, "Error: Could not INIT TEMP FILE\\(my server name)\APPS\DBAMFG\DRILL\TBKARINV20151105111748" and it kicks me out to the customer's page. Sometimes it does not give me that second message, stays stuck on the first, and I have to use Task Manager to shut down EVO and move on.
I am completely updated on all available patches for 2015.1, but haven't yet downloaded the new one. (Middle of ISO season... will get to it soon, I promise.)
Thanks for taking a look at this!

This type of thing happens to me occasionally on any lookup or drill-down. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.

Not much help, I know, but at least you are not alone!

Sounds like you have saved a sort setting other than the default.  Delete or rename the C:\ISTS\EVOGRIDSETTINGS.INI file.
