Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel
06/09/16 at 13:17:11

Trying to export a bill of material from EVO to Xcel.  EVO seems to have skipped the export instructions.  Have any of you exported a BOM to Xcel? undecided

DE-A is the query wizard for export but a BOM is difficult if it has multiple levels.  Better to print BM-B to file and save to Excel.

Thank you Lynn,
When I print it to file & save as excel file, click OK.  The program looks like it prints it, gives me message Finished Printing yes or no.  When I click yes I can't find the file it printed to.  I've gone through the computer files looking for excel file & I can't find it.  Is there a place the program stores this file?

I believe by default it saves it on your X:\DBAMFG folder

Does it save the file as an excel file or something else?  Looked all through the default folder and didn't find an excel file.  I'll check it again.  Thanks much.

I did some testing and it save it on the C:\ISTS as a .CSV

Did you look in that folder?

BM-B (or any printed report) saved as Excel file saves as XLS and is in the root DBAMFG or EVOERP folder unless you specify elsewhere.  There is a Default Report Destination folder you can (and should) define at Settings - US-A which now works (it wasn't for a while but has been fixed).

DE-A Query Wizard export saves as CSV to the folder specified in SM-T which in John's case may be C:\ISTS

Thank you everyone.  I believe I've found the copies of BOM.  I printed to file and saved as excel.  My files are in the EVO folder and they are saved to a file I didn't recognize.  Thought it would look more like an excel file in other directories.  Really appreciate everyone's help.  Have a nice weekend!
