IN-D Print to Text truncates last column
06/23/16 at 11:42:13

We have an issue with the IN-D report (Reorder report). When Production prints to a text file (they use it for copying and pasting elsewhere in Evo), the new report always cuts off the last character or 2 in the Reorder Amount column, the last column on the right. When they print the report to the printer with the RTM file, it does not cut off the column, the whole thing prints fine, as does when you print to PDF or XLS.  Only text file format is cut off.

Any way to fix this?  Production needs this report in a text format for actually setting up work orders, they copy and paste from it as they review it, so they need to see all
the data.

Printing landscape makes no difference, the last column of info is still truncated.

Help!

Anybody?  If we try to adjust to make sure the right hand column gets included, it then cuts off the first column (the far left column)!  We are using a small font, can't get much smaller without being ridiculous.   Is there a trick to making it all fit nicely?

It's an extra step, but you can save as Excel, then open that and SaveAs Tab Delimited.

I think he's already saving in an Excel format.  This just used to be much easier for them, they use the IN-D report for copying and pasting to enter Work Orders.  It has become more difficult for them than just printing to screen and copying and pasting right from that (via the old text based reports). Trying to get it to be the same via the GUI only now is not really workable.  Oh well.

Thanks anyway!

e have gone back to several of the BK programs. Sometimes newer is not better. If it doesn't add something useful, why change? My biggest issue with the GUI items is that lookups are soooo slow.

Just for clarification are you currently using the T7IND or BKIND or the T6IND? Are you exporting first to excel or are you going strait to text?

They are using T7IND....They've done both, straight to text they cannot copy and past from the screen so they have to export to an Excel.

I ended up creating a landscape version that has more real estate and can accommodate what they need to see without truncating fields. They are testing now.

Thanks!
