Incremental Costs
08/04/16 at 10:06:08

Hello,

I ran an IN-L-E to update standard costs to average cost.  Then I ran a BM-G to rollup.  When I ran the BM-G it is pulling in incremental costs that I have no idea what they are.

Is there a way to get rid of all incremental costs company wide?  We do not use incremental costs at all we just use the material cost for our pricing structure.

Thanks,

Jake

What kind of incremental costs?  Labor? Processing?

That's the thing, I do not even know where to look to figure out which type of incremental costs they are?  I do not know how they got in there in the first place either, but we do not use any type of incremental costs. We just use material costs and that is it, but somehow these costs get in there and mess up the cost rollup process.

Which column are they in on the BM-G report?

They are located in the material column of incremental costs.

That being said, I know that those incremental costs are correct.

If you have material costs as incremental costs in type A or type F parts, they were manually entered way back before the Standard Cost screen was changed to prevent entering inappropriate cost types.  UT-A program FIXSTD will allow access to the values so you can zero them out.

Will this take the incremental costs out permanently? Or just take them out until the next time the cost is rolled up?
