Deleting Item Numbers
08/08/16 at 12:22:48

Hello,

Is there a way to delete multiple item numbers at once?  Or is the only way to delete them one by one? (IN-B)

IN-L-O can be used to delete (or make obsolete and archive) items with no activity for a specified time frame provided they meet all the other criteria IN-B applies.

Lynn,

Does IN-L-O let you completely delete item numbers out of DBA or does it just let you delete inventory transactions?

There is a default setting in SD-Q that enables deletion.

Thank you Lynn.

I am in SD-Q and I am not seeing that anywhere?  Could you be more specific?

On SD-Q

Select Items,
Select Inventory,
Select Setup,

there is a line that says: "Enable DEL/Make Obsolete in IN-L-O"

do you have it?

Cool

When I go to SD-Q > Select Items

I am not seeing any place to select inventory or select setup?

I am using DBA classic.

It is actually on the System Manager screen in SD-Q in Classic, Enable Del/Make Obsolete...

Can I use IN-L-O to make a whole category of part numbers obsolete even if they are on a bill of materials?  Some even have quantities on hand.

i really don't want to have manually all adjust all those boms and qty on hand.
Thanks.

No, IN-L-O uses the same criteria as IN-B to make things obsolete - no On Hand, not a component of a non-obsolete BOM, etc.
