Enter finished production despite open PO?
12/16/16 at 12:05:35

Is there any way to get around the fact that you can't enter finished production on a workorder if there is an open Purchase Order?
Thanks
Laura

An unreceived PO? or an uninvoiced PO?

If you have not received a PO, you should not do finish production.
DBA/EVO will allow you to do FP if you have an uninvoiced PO.
When the PO is invoiced and there is a difference it will be posted as a variance.

You can do finished production in either case as it may be a partial receipt against the work order and the open PO is for something against the balance of the work order.  You shouldn't be doing the final finished production if there is an unreceived PO because the cost of that PO will not be reflected in the cost of the parts  being completed unless you are using Standard Cost in which case it does  not matter.  You can't close a WO if there are unreceived POs against it because the receipt has to go somewhere.
