We just got Betrieve Status 11 ... The specified filename is invalid........

On another thread Lynn suggested "UT-A, program MDBFXREG. Accept the path, then exit DBA and go back in."
UT-A, program MDBFXREG. Then exit DBA and come back in. If it still doesn't work, you may also need to run UT-J and rebuild the DDF files.

I have some questions:
1) What did we do to cause this?
2) Can we run all day and then i fix this later tonight. I hope so.
3) I just discovered this and its been a while since i went into maintain database so I wonder how long this has been going on?
4) What BAD stuff would have happened if i hadn't accidentally discovered the error this morning?

For errors like this I would typically fix sooner rather than later, but every environment is different. It can result from deleting say a test company improperly or incompletely. Right now you just can't make any changes/fixes using MDB until you fix this error. So....I'd get everyone out and fix it. Probably won't take a huge amount of time (but I could be wrong, depending on what caused it Roll Eyes

I thought this had fixed itself but I now realize that I am getting the error on one machine but not on the other. I can modify the database on one machine but on the other machine i get this error. When i have time I will check our other workstations to see if they can access maintain database. Hopefully it is only this one workstation. Meanwhile DBA/EVo seems to be functioning normally

The MDBFXREG program at UT-A is what makes the registry entry.
