Broken links from Access after pervasive upgrade
03/17/17 at 06:39:32

I upgraded to pervasive 12 and lost my Access connections. I was using workgroup engine before. I really struggled to get it setup a couple years ago, because I don't know what i'm doing, but I finally got it working. Now I upgraded to pervasive server client version 12, and I'm struggling again. I vaguely remember in the past about using 32 bit only odbc, and not sure if that's still the case. The server is running 64 bit version now.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

If your server is running 64bits it is ok, you should install pervasive client 32bits on your workstations.
If you have re-created your ODBC connections good, but that is half the battle.
If you haven't open "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe"
MS Access saves the ODBC connections locally, and must be refresh.

ODBC;DSN=MYDSN;ServerName=MYSERVER.1583;ServerDSN=MYDSN;................etc, etc, etc

Open you database while holding down the SHIFT key, it will open in design mode

For you tables open "Linked Table Manager" check mark "Always prompt for new location"
then click ok

For you Pass-though queries
Design View
Property Sheet (F4)
ODBC Connection String

have fun,
