We have never archived Purchase Orders because I am unsure of how I would find history.
Once I archive a Purchase Order will I still be able to find (?)  the history in:
                              IN-A       Inventory inquiry  
                             PO-D      PO Receivers  
                              PO-I-E    (any purchase Order report)
                              AP-C       enter Purchase Order invoice
