Warehouse Control 'Q'
09/24/18 at 13:55:15

I would like to start using the Q function on some part numbers in Warehouse Control.
What happens if I run the utility that will process inventory quantities into the Warehouse Control Bins when changing the default to Q?

It will set everything to "Q" and put all on hand stock into the default bin per warehouse.  You can then use WC-B to reset items you do not want to control at the Q level back to Y or N and WC-C to redistribute on hand stock into multiple bins if needed for the items you are keeping at Q level control.

Thanks, Lynn

Now to change back to Y on the ones I don't want that feature for.

Why can't I update the BIN OH with WC-C? Sometimes it will go to that field and lots of time it won't.
I'm in a situation where I need to control the quantities in the separate bins.

If you can't edit the quantity, then for that item/warehouse combination the default is still set to Y and needs to be Q.

I did that but it still bypasses the BIN OH field. Could it be that there's only one amount of 200 on hand?
What happens if I receive more? They are manually updated with INV-C and not done with a PO.

Lynn,
I don't know and cannot find my notes on the utility to use. I remember running it last year but can't find it on any menu today.
Please refresh my memory.
BTW is there a list of the utilities that can be run and what they do?
Thanks,
