Any way to quickly create a read-only menu
03/29/22 at 09:52:42

I have a request for a new finance person to have read-only access in Evo. She needs to see how Evo works without fear of changing anything.  Can this be done easily enough?
I see in the menu file for her I can check the settings for No save and no delete, but is there a quicker way than going into each and every line item in her menu?  No top-level setting I can make?

Kind regards,

Val

You could create a menu for that user that consist of IN-A, SO-T, AR-Q, WO-Q and AP-U all those programs are view only for things like parts, customers, vendors, Sales Orders and Work Orders. they can see and search but not enter or change any info.

That would work if that's all the access that is needed.  Long story short, this person is from the company that just acquired us and she is feeling here way around Evo and how it works and also running reports.  She is the CFO of the acquiring company so she needs to be in Accounting/GL module as well.

So it sounds like I have to do these menu items one by one for No save, no delete.....?

I've gone through and mapped out what she can do w/o changing anything in the modules she's likely to need, so I supposed I can just create that menu from scratch as a template and then apply to her account.
