We want to send acknowledgment's, Purchase Orders and Invoices thru EVO Email.   I thought I remembered a pdf of detailed instructions on the ISTECH website but i can't find it.  
 
The settings on my desktop is port 587 encryption method is StartTLS
The settings on my iphone is port 993 w/encryption method SSL
 
 
On EVO I have tried every combination of below to no avail.  
    Port 25  none  … either you have not setup an smpt or your port is invalid
    Port 25 SSL  ……   error sending email could not connect to SMTP host
    Port 25 StartTLS   error sending emails: invalid address
     Port 465  none  … either you have not setup an smpt or your port is invalid
    Port 465  SSL  ……   error sending email could not connect to SMTP host
    Port  465  StartTLS    
 
I have tried multiple different email address and even created a new email on our email server with no luck.  
 
Could this have anything to do with the fact that I can't pass the SM-T java connection test?

edit for future reference as I found this very helpful
STARTTLS transforms an insecure connection into a secure one by utilizing SSL/TLS,
IMAP uses port 143, but implicit SSL/TLS encrypted IMAP uses port 993.
POP uses port 110, but implicit SSL/TLS encrypted POP uses port 995.
SMTP uses port 25, but implicit SSL/TLS encrypted SMTP uses port 465.
