We have a scenario where we have an Install team that will take our parts and install them at a customer's location. When we get all the parts together, we place them in a temp location where they will sit with the SO until the install team takes them to the site to complete the job. The problem that we have is that some of the orders/inventory will sit for multiple weeks/months until they can schedule and complete the install. While we are waiting, our UoH is always overstated (I know that it shows up on Units on SO but that is harder to track what has not been started vs. pulled) leading to misunderstandings about what we actually have in the warehouse. Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and knows of a feature/process in DBA that already manages this or has a work around that can reserve/flag the parts so that it is obvious they are already allocated.
