Have you configured your anti-virus to skip the live scan for files with RUN and RWN extensions?  That is a specific known factor in the loading of the program screens.

I believe the speed issues have been resolved.  The anti-virus software was a big factor for a number of users.  The 30 day trial is free and if you don't like it, the old DBA icon will still work so there is really no risk!
