One of the other very interesting things that Aria Consulting can do for your organization is to create Customer and Vendor "Portals" into you DBA data.
 
What this means is that through an active web page (we use primarly PHP pages for their security and the fact they are less intensive to load than ASP pages), your customers could connect to a live Access application which is able to very very quickly query your DBA data and provide them with current job status of their active jobs with your shop. We can also provide them with an online aging capability, thus enabling them to, hopefully(!), better manage their payables to you and helping your cashflow.
 
Or for your vendors, we can provide data as to the receipt and disposition (is it in QC or has it been released), and payment status info.
 
All of this helps with your overall supply chain.
 
And since our MS Access/VB programs access the DBA data through an ODBC connection, you are not in any way changing your current DBA software.  Just extending the capabilities.
