Estimating
09/11/03 at 11:17:46

We use the DBA estimate function to roll up our material and labor costs.  I was wondering what is the most efficent way to collect the data.

1)  What is heiracy that DBA uses to pull pricing in the Estimate Report

2) We have used verbal RFQ to put pricing into the Estimate.  DBA does not seem to pull the price from the Enter RFQ section.

3) If there is nothing in any of these will it look for the best vendor price?

4) Is there a better way??

Thank you for your help.

The first place it looks is a Verbal RFQ (PO-F) linked to the Estimate and flagged Y to use in the estimate.  Next, if none is found, it looks at material costs as entered in ES-H which is used for any estimate that uses a given material.  Finally, if none is found there, it uses the standard cost.
