purging closed work orders

Will purging closed work orders make the look-up go faster,  do you have archive them also? I know I should be doing some kind of regular maintainance, but get kinda scared that I'll really mess things up ???

If you never want to look at the data again, purge them, otherwise archive them.  Archiving will move the data to the archive files and speed up the inquiries on the open work order files but you will still have the data available in the JC reports.  If you purge them, they are gone forever.
