Balance Sheet vs. Reports
11/25/03 at 08:03:06

What would cause the balance sheet numbers to differ from the Report numbers.

Examples:
1.  BS-AR line is $148,999.67 however the AR Agings reflect $147,414.72, difference of $1,584.95.
2.  BS-AP line is $54,170.00 however the AP Agings reflect $54,466.35, difference of -$296.35.
3.  BS-PORNI line is -$226.42 however the PORNI report reflects $0.00, difference of $226.42.

In order for me to prevents these errors, I need to know how or what is causing them.

One reason could be that someone has made an entry to AP & AR  using  a General Journal entry, this will throw it out of balance.

We have had similar problems and don't know what has happened.  We found no general journal entries made.  We are still working on this issue.
