Update suggestions
12/01/03 at 20:10:28

Looking for any year-end suggestions for payroll before 2004 begins.  Planning to add Vacation and sick time accrual based on weeks of service rather than actual hours worked.  Other suggestions?  Time is running out but we will do what we can!!

How about "banked time" accrual and usage?

Need better reports.  The current ones are cumbersome to get the needed information for taxes etc.  Also need to be able to create SIMPLE lists like employee name & telephone # without getting all the other detail.

How about some fields in the employee file containing the date of the last raise or two and amounts, the last review date and the next review date. It would be helpful to have the ability to enter notes for these dates and to print out a filtered report using these dates.   Smiley

How about the ability to do Magnetic Media correctly.  The program needs to ask which deduction is for 401k and which is for the Medical reimbursement plan.

Thanks,

We use behnam's payroll for the vacation accrual by year feature. Would be nice if this were an option along with the raise and review notes & dates. Would be really great if the program used the same data base fields as Behnam's does, so I wouldn't have to re-enter everything.

The raise/review and annual vacation accrual will be part of the IS Tech payroll and the raise/review information from Ben's version will transfer over.  You will be able to enter an unlimited number of raises & reviews each with 2 summary note lines and 24 detail note lines so you will be able to keep history as far back as you want to.

As for the magnetic media, I will take a look at it and see what we can do before January when it will be needed.

I would like to see the the ability to save the settings specified when printing W2s.  With Secton 125 Medical/Child Care, 401K, etc.  it can be kind of confusing.

I would also like to see it handle the child Care section 125 correctly.  It currently does not put this number in the correct place.

Save Settings is easy enough, we already have that capability in general, just need to insert it to the PR-L-I program.  As for the Section 125, given that the W-2 prints using RTM, is that something you could alter yourself by editing the RTM?

ohh ... possibly.  I will be getting into it this week.  I may be able to move that figure unless it is added into another one.  I don't remember exactly what the problem was last year.
