Consolidate Financials Error after Upgrade
12/19/03 at 11:22:39

Since the upgrade to 2002.4, I continue to get an error message that before I can run Accounting-AM-G, I have to enter the GL Clearing Account.  I've been using this program for years and these accounts were set up.  I noticed in the upgrade, the GL Clearing account must be type "O".  I changed this and it still doesn't consolidate.  I verified the account numbers and types for all companies.  I can't close the books.  Did anyone else have this problem?

The consolidated totals are stored in a file in the default "B" company.  Make sure you have defined the clearing account in that company even if you do not actually use it.

That was the problem.  When the system was reinstalled, for some reason Company B wasn't restored to where it had been.  Thanks.
