Changing std & base prices
01/21/04 at 11:13:30

We need to change the std and base pricing on a large number of items.  We are a distributor and our vendors periodically send out new price sheets.  We have our items set up in several different classes and need to make adjustments to each of these classes - BUT we do not want to effect our history of these part numbers! What is the easiest way for us to accomplish this?

The easiest way would be to export the BKICMSTR and MTICMSTR tables and then bring them in to an Access database and use the (assumably) Excel based tables from your suppliers to affect the appropriate price changes and then export out the resulting table to Excel and import that back in to DBA using the renaming trick that Lynn came up with a long time ago for the tables. You can find a description of how to do that last part in this forum if you search for it.
