\File\Maintain Database

Not exactly SM, but...
Why does \File\Maintain Database now give me an Error: "DBIERR_UNKNOWNDB DBAMFG."?
How do I get to my files?

Thanks, Dick

UT-A, program MDBFXREG, accept the path (I have never seen it get it wrong) and exit DBA and come back in.

I got the same error along with a description of the directory problem (a missing back slash)..."Key=[Y:\DBAMFGDEFAULT\AHSYLOG.B].  Running MDBFXREG corrected the problem.

I had the exact error message.  Ran MDBFXREG and problem fixed.  Now my question would be as to why this happend?  Prior to attempting MD, I ran the Global Replace utility.

What was the "last thing" you did on your system prior to your error 35?  Maybe this will help future issues.

EDIT:

That just indicates that MDB hasn't been run on this machine.

DBA classic, 3/25/05 updates, peer-to-peer (workgroup)

Got the Key=[Y:\DBAMFGDEFAULT\ problem.  Ran MDBFXREG on "server", fixed problem.  Same problem on workstation, ran MDBFXREG, and it didn't change the path.  Could I change this key directly in the registry?  Can't find it.

Thanks,
Mike
