Routing cost actual cost power tool needed
02/18/04 at 15:20:41

Ok heres what I need to do

I have over 3000 of type A items many with standard cost that are not in tune with actual cost  I need to generate a report /spreadsheet that shows part number and the actual cost of each routing and the portion of the standard cost in that routing. So I know what routings to correct and by how much.

Is there such a thing, could I do this in Access?  Where is the job cost data stored?

Its getting old having to do a job cost on each item and try to back figure dollars, time ect. to correct the standard cost on each item. I need a POWER Tool for this job.

Is it the Labor time standards that need to be updated?  JC-H (IS Tech Version) has the ability to update the Routing Standards based on the actual labor reported.   See if that will help.

Thanks That's close
Very nice too I didn't know that was in there.

If the part number was repeated on the line with each record it would be mucho better because I could them import the data into access and calculate what ones are realistic based on the existing standard and what ones have junk in them.

is there a source  I can lookat for that report ?
so I can see where the data comes from ?

then I can just ODBC it into access

Actual labor is in WOLABOR (or WOHLABOR if you have archived WOs) and the standards are in ROUTING.

Can't remember the field name in ROUTING, but the labor field in WOLABOR is EST_LAB for estimated, and ACT_LAB for actual reported.
