INVENTORY ISSUES
03/15/04 at 15:50:09

I made an Inventory Adjustment thru IN-C to adjust to the correct amt, here is what I'm seeing now:

Adustment made IN-C to 228 pcs
Now when I go into Inventory Inquiry:

53 On Hand
175 Allocated
-122 Available

How can there be -122 when we actualy have 228?

If you entered an adjustment of 228 in IN-C, that doesn't mean you have 228.  It means you have 228 more than you did before you made the adjustment.  If you now show 53 on hand, you must have had -175 on hand before you made the adjustment.  IN-C adjustment is for the incremental amount of change, either positive or negative.  IN-K adjustment is entered as the total on hand and then the program does the math to figure out the incremental adjustment.

I did a little more research, I'll try to clarify what is happenning. Sorry, I did not use IN-C or IN-A

Part #1 - sub assembly
Part #1a - lower level sub assembly

checked on hand qty for part #1a 560 should be 228

entered a (-)150 WO for Part #1 which uses (1) #1a, I assumed that by issuing a (-) WO it would the put 150 part #1a back into stock, which would bring part #1a up to 710.

I then issued a (-)482 WO for part #1a to bring the count back to 228.

I just checked on the material issued for part #1 for the (-) 150 transaction, and it shows -150 WO issue to part #1a. Shouldn't the lower assembly part have gone back into stock?

Yesterday they made 175 part #1a, which I issued a Wo for, backflushed material & closed the WO. So why am I still showing 175 allocated when there are no open WO? And why 53 OH?

I always backflush & have been using the WO-P Batch Finished Production.
