GL Department
04/23/04 at 09:38:26

I am very new to DBA, so this may sound like a dumb question.  We are starting to set up GL codes and my boss wants to use subaccounts.  (example:  main account - repair, subaccounts - machine repair, building repair, office machine repair.)  I assume I should set up departments as I enter my GL.  Is this going to produce financial statements with only the main account totals if that is what the recipient needs to see as opposed to a list of all subaccounts and their totals?  I appreciate any help I can get.

Thank you,
daynajw ???

You have a choice in both standard and custom financial statements to print or not to print department detail. Works for us- when we want to see it we can!
