Migrating DBA to new Server
10/01/04 at 07:48:53

We have installed a new server and I installed DBA and Pervasive with all latest updates. I created a test company "XX" and copied the contents of "XX" company from the old server. How can i get user passwords and other system settings. In other words which files do I need to copy  ???

If you copied the DBAMFG folder then everything should be exactly the same...

Even though the XX company is all your active company data, the passwords and user settings are in the B company data in the DEFAULT folder.  Copy that over too. If your original DBA installation was really old, then your *.B files are in the root DBAMFG folder but when you copy them over, you want to put them into DBAMFG\DEFAULT because that is where the new installation is looking for them.

By looking through the database with the Mainain Database program, I figured it out and it is working fine on the new server.

Thanks to both of you
