I would like to make job labels for prints to go directly into the shop floor. On these labels I need to print so, cust, po,pn,qty,due date. Not sure what types of labels yet (tried avery thinking of getting a small separate printer dynmo) small and the most economic way to go. I spent alot of time on this already. Not familiar with access and how it works,  was experiencing with it today. I just don't know how to get info and move it around from one program to the other. Can anyone please help me. See, and I would use Access as it has the labels (if you're going to try to use Avery stock) already defined. In order to use Access you would need to create ODBC links on the server, and on the workstation. Then you create an Access DB (NOT an Access Project in case you are using Access 2003), and you link to the files containing the information you want. Then you create a query with parameters so that it will prompt for a range of WO's to be printed for, then go to the forms section choose labels and choose the one you want, put your fields from the query on the form  and away you go.  
 
And then you always have the option to add more fields later on if you want from whatever files you need. You can even link to other software (ie. UPS Worldship-which uses an Access DB, by the way) and draw in information from there if you need.

In TAS 6 Evo, you can easily add lines to menus to call other applications.

Hmmmmm.....  Could this scenario be used for setting up Access to print labels at receiving?
