DC labor not correct
10/15/04 at 10:57:02

I have in my hot little hands a labor status pending report.

it shows an employee logged on to a work order at 07:50:12

time out is
09:24:17

hours is 0.00

No jobs is 1

total hours for the day is also 0.00

Im told we get these 1-2 times per week
different employees different workstations
I had Russ Snyder (DBA guy) in here to look at it.
he said it should not do this.

can this be fixed ?

More importantly - what is the setting in the WOROUT record for "Standard Time"?  If it is Y then the program is recording the time based on number of parts completed and the parts per hour time standard, not the actual time recorded.  If you have a 0 Standard then you will get 0 time.

Per the Help File:  Std Time?  Some operations by their nature are impossible to track time to.  For example, a polishing process might involve one person simultaneously running 20 work orders on automatic machines.  It is not practical to allocate actual time to so many work orders.  For such operations, you can set this field value to Y.  When finished parts are reported through WO-F  Enter Labor or DC-A or DC-B Enter Production Only, or WO-M  Batch Labor Entry the program will automatically apply the standard time/part for this routing sequence.

What does DCPLAB show for that WO in MDB?

what is DCPLAB ? MDB?
I dont seem to have these

I checked the standard time was set to 01:00:00  and use standard time was set to Y  in this wo only
the part routing was set to 00:00:00 and set to n on use standard time.

I do show 01:00:00 posted to this wo so Its a setting problem with the routing.

since the master part is set o N for use standard time I dont see how the WO routing go switched but there it is switched

this one is operator error

update:

I truly dont understand why people with the same problem over and over with the same operation dont have the brains to notice a pattern.

we had some routings that came from a template with std time set to Y

99.9% of the time it was the same guyin the shop with the same operation.  I was told it was random

This is a guy(labor poster) in a trusted position  who has been dealing with this problem silently for several years

Brilliant !!!

JW,

Sorry, I was using shorthand....BKDCPLAB is the unposted DC labor file. MDB is Maintain Database.

And Lynn's point about the standard was one of the reasons I was going to get you to check there....but sounds like problem solved...Smiley
