I don't see any export provisions for CM info in DBA so it looks like your talking about exporting required data using DE-A and importing into ACT.  I've imported a lot into our ACT program so it's pretty straightforward.  The hard part is knowing what files to export from DBA (looks like a lot of BKCM*** files) and doing the field mapping.

It helps if you go through an intermediate step like Excel in case any massaging is needed.  If you are just talking about straight contact info it's probably not to involved.  If you have activities and whatnot to bring over, it might be rough.

Hi,

We are very interested in this, too.  We want to get Act!, but
I also remember that Goldmine somehow integrated with DBA at some point?  Or not so any longer? What would folks recommend?

Also, is there any easy way to import data from either of these programs back into DBA?  Looks like file overwrite would be a concern.

TIA,

Val

Doing a follow-up here:  does anyone have any experience with importing back into DBA's CM from Goldmine?  We just rolled out a 5 user Goldmine (they're sharing a database) and plan on taking the data out of DBA, but we'd also like to periodically put it back to update DBA.

Anyone who is versed in doing this, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks so much!
