I am trying to start using SO-O-A to generate quotes. I am finding that new customers entered in AR-A do not match those found when selecting the customer for the quote. It appears to be pulling from a diffeent database?!?  ???

There is an IS Tech Default setting to use Contact Manager for Estimates and Quotes.  If that is set to Y it pulls from the CM database rather than the AR database.  The advantage is that you don't need to set a prospect up as a customer until they actuall yplace an order.  You can change the setting in SD-Q or use CM-K to transfer all existing customers over to the CM database.

For anyone not using Contact Manager, here's our workaround--
I created an AR customer with customer code QUOTE. The rest of the record is blank except for default terms and default taxable status. When entering a quote, we can use this code and then enter the customer's info into the quote. If we get the sale, we create the AR record. Then go into the quote and enter the real customer code before converting to a sales order.
